be smart... be safe.... Unless you an engineer replace motor parts with the same..... the maunufactuer spent the extra money to make the part metal I'm sure there was a good reason for it.
NO. You need to REPLACE the modulator valve and the rubber hose. That's it.
A heater hose (rubber) or pipe (steel).
Yes. A rubber hose is flexible.
If it is a rubber hose you need to replace it. If it is a metal piece connected to a hose, you also need to replace this.
remove the air filter box remove the steel clamp on rubber and steel hose atached to the engine and and take the two screws off the sensor, push the orange clip back on the electric connector unplug the connector replace the new sensor
put it on with 2 belts in front & 2 in back, slide the rubber clasp out at bottom of belts, put top part of hose in clasp & replace rubber into clasp catching hose. repeat on all three sides. ( if the hose have seams make sure they are straight.)
I have a 96 Ford Escort LX. I need to replace the vent and the fuel intake rubber hose that come from the gas tank. Can you tell me what size both hoses are?
A rubber hose is a insulator because of the space between the molecules.
I have a 94 accord wagon, and it seems that this design piece is the same. That steel line is for cooling the power steering fluid before it is returned to the reservoir. The steel is fitted on both ends to a rubber hose that transports the fluid frorm the refill reservoir to the line, and back to the power steering pump. Replacing this part is a pain. I would first remove the front bumper. Once that's off there are two brackets (on my 94 there are two) that hold the steel line in place. Remove those brackets, undo the hose clamps that crimp the rubber to the steel and replace the steel segment. I had a piece of steel bent to fit and made from stainless steel. If you can't get stainless try your local auto parts store and buy some steel brake line lengths.
The rubber hose that connects from the chasis to rear axle is for grip.
rubber hose
That year I believe still had a mechanical fuel pump on the right bank(passanger side)towards the font of the engine and it should have a steel line going to it and from it, check for rusted out lines and replace with steel lines, rubber is to iffy being its really close to the exaust manifold, and replace your fuel filter on your carburator( the line comming from the pump to the carb on the carb).
