it all depends on it behaivor Maybe 40%
anaimal abuse is coming more and more common these days and many shelters are trying to help out the problem
No, they do not.
Sadly 3-4 thousand dogs get put down a month n this is just on animal shelters imagine how many get ran over or abused ect n they did nothing it's sad :'(
There's not a statistic in existence that is accurate on this.. It's not mandatory for shelters to record the amount of dogs put down period, let alone the dogs put down who hurt someone. What you're asking is practically impossible. But if you're scared of dogs because you fear they'll hurt you, do some research on how to interact with dogs (properly) and how to read canine body language. You'll feel much safer.
Putting dogs down is a last resort and it only happens if dogs have no chance of getting a home or the shelter is overcrowded and they feel that this dog/cat has been here too long it will be euthanized or put to sleep it is painless and it is usually done by the dog putting on fa mask and they will put a gaseous drug into it and the dog will breathe it in and go to sleep
About 20 in each shelter across the US. In a year, 3-4 million.
animal shelters try their best not to put animals down due to overcrowding. I have never heard of any shelter putting animals down for this reason, if they have too many they put good home wanted notices in papers and the internet. But, Depending where you are....They do put them down alot due to overcrowding.......Where i live,They put alot down each week.....I have to agree of what they should do....Put notices up...But most shelters just put them down...Its really truly sad :(
They can be sent to shelters, glue factories, or put down.
It is only fair
