Best Answer

No because a circuit without power applied can only be shown to be a short circuit after the power is applied between the 'right' two points.

What is the best statement about fuses?

A fuse is used to protect the wiring within a circuit from overheating and possibly catching on fire. When the circuit is overloaded or a short is detected the fuse will blow shutting off power to that circuit.

What are the uses of logical operators in Java?

Logical Operators are those that are used for doing logical operations. There are a total of 6 logical operators (&, |, ^, !, &&, and ‖) Of the six logical operators listed above, three of them (&, |, and ^) can also be used as "bitwise" operators. There are two non-short-circuit logical operators. • & non-short-circuit AND • | non-short-circuit OR There are two short-circuit logical operators • && short-circuit AND • short-circuit OR

Which device provides short circuit protection?

A fuse protects a circuit from short circuiting. Also a breaker is used for this same purpose with the additional advantage of protecting the circuit from overloads also.

Explain the importance of fault current calculation in power system anlysis?

Available fault current, or short circuit calculations, are used to determine ratings of some equipment such as breakers, circuit switchers, etc. Also, short circuit calculations are used to set protective equipment that protects the electric system from adverse events (lightning strikes, tornadoes, earthquakes, people ramming cars into power lines, etc.) There are other reasons, but the above is the #1.
