Unfortunately skunks cannot be de-gland. As sad as that is, there is an upside. There are many alternatives to what a de-gland process would be. First off you can milk the glands in the skunks anus daily by gently messaging the glands with petroleum jelly. This is a great solutions considering the nitrates in the jelly neutralize the odor of the skunk. Another less successful solution is to insert a small suppository in the skunk bi-daily. Vagisil works best as the scent is much like a yeast infection and is neutralized by the medication. Finally, the last and least effective solution would be to take the skunk to the local veterinarian clinic to ask for advise.
