Can someone break down the major diff between a dyna wide glide and a Yamaha v-star 650 I am buying my first bike and I had my heart set on the dyna but it is heavy for a first bike and its expensive?

You didn't specify the year but these bikes are very similar in size. The Wide Glide weight is about 140 lbs more and it has a 1584cc motor as opposed to 649cc in the Yamaha. The Wide Glide's cost is double that of a Yamaha.
