never mind. i went into my router configurations and reset the DHCP protocol settings. for some reason this fixed the problem.

As long as your school didn't block the YouTube website with an education filter, then you should be able to visit YouTube using your school's computer via Safari, Firefox, or even Chrome and with the other browsers too.

I have the macintosh, and that does not happen to me. I think Safari works better with youtube than firefox. Try deleting Safari and Firefox and upload the new versions, that might help.
One will have to go into their settings on their Mozilla FireFox browser to unblock YouTube. Once in the settings go to blocked sites and remove it from that list. That should clear up the problem. If it doesn't, one may need to completely uninstall and re-install Firefox.
