The 2006 F-150 owners manual shows ( SAE 5 W - 20 ) You can use synthetic or synthetic blend if you wish as long as it has the API certification mark ( certified for gasoline engines ) and meets Ford specification WSS - M2C930 - A ( for the 5 W - 20 engine oil )
Yes.
Synthetic and conventional oil can be mixed and used with no problem. That is exactly what a synthetic blend that you can buy is. A mix of synthetic oil and conventional.
Yes
10W30, it can be synthetic, conventional, or a blend.
In the manual, It said that synthetic blend oil should not be used in it, so I wouldn't risk it. I would just use brand name mineral based.
Ford recommends 5w30 to be used. There are no recommendations as far as synthetic vs conventional go.
5W-30 use a reputable name brand --i personally use motorcraft synthetic blend 7.5 qts. Not a improved answer, just another answer 5W-30 Kendall liquid titanium synthetic blend 7qts 105,000 mi and no oil useage between 4,000 mi changes
Synthetic oil can be used in older motors, but if you have any small leaks, they will get significantly worse. I'd recommend a High Mileage blend like Valvoline Max Life or something similar.
According to the 2006 Ford Expedition and Ford F-150 Owner Guides ( 5W-20 ) * with engine oil filter change , 7.0 U.S. quarts / 6.6 litres of 5W-20 engine oil is used in the 5.4 , 3V engine used in the 2006 Ford Expedition / Ford F-150
All name brand synthetic oils are pretty much the same. Use any name brand you wish in the correct weight.
5w30 fully synthetic and 4.5 litres without filter
Yes, you can. I don't see why not. I always used 10W40 Castrol Oil.
