That does sound like a good idea. While a 14 year old can do many things and can be responsible a month is a bit much. A 14 year old doesn't need that much supervision and being left alone for a month could be viewed as abandonment on the parents part or getting ready to actually meet life. That could get child services involved if anything such as a fire or anything else that happens. I'd have to say that it would be a normal choice to leave a 14 year old home alone.

yes, a 14 year old can stay home for a month but only if he has food and water to survive. A cellphone would also be nice so if anything goes wrong you could always call your parents or 911. After all he is only 4 years away from being 18 and than he will have to take care of himself.
Absolutely
Physically yes they could and a month isn't that much.
1 year and 34 days
yes if s/he is trustworthy
no they can't
Absolutely NOT!!! No matter how responsible, 16 years old is not an appropriate age to stay home alone for that amount of time.
it is 14 year old
No way!
=yes.=
There is no law addressing this.
Yes they probably can yes
Yes, they are 16 give them some space.
No, you have to be around 15/16+ to stay at home with a younger sibling/relative.
They can be home alone for an hour it depends if he/she is mature enough and if your neiborhood is safe
