No. This is a mistery. Same with Paypal. Puerto Rico's banks have branches all over de US, but Square and Paypal does not accept transactions originated in the island. You can buy the card readers in Puerto Rico, but you can do nothing with them. Square keep promising service but the service never comes. It would be great if Square treat Puerto Rico the same way they treat mainland states. The american citizens in Puerto Rico, specialy the business person in Puerto Rico, needs these services as much as the people in the states.
Yes.
no.
No, Puerto Ricans can enter and leave the US without the use of a green card. They do not need a Green Card for any reason whatsoever.According to Immigration and Nationality Act section 8 U.S.C. § 1101(a)(38), they're US citizens. Puerto ricans do not need a green card to live in US.
Like any other card, ID, license, you can take it with you when you leave Puerto Rico. The question is whether it is accepted as a valid driver's license if you decide to live in the states. Puerto Rico allows people who come from the states to live on the Island to use their stateside drivers license for a period of 30 days, considered sufficiente time to apply and obtain a local driver's license.
