I'm sorry but it cannot. If you bought your PS3 in the US, you can only play DVD and Blu-ray movies that are from this region (region 1 for DVD and A for Blu-ray). What I suggest you do (this is what I do) is download Shrink DVD (freeware..just Google it), make a backup of you DVD movie (Shrink DVD automatically removes the region protection) and burn it. Then you can play the copy on your PS3. Hope this helps...
Yes it is they made the new Ps3 region free
PS3 do not play DVDs from other regions that are not for all regions
ps3 games are region free, so they can play on any console. ps1, ps2, xbox, xbox 360, and blu-ray movies are region coded.
PS3 games are not region coded, so you can play Japanese PS3 games on a PS3 from North America or Europe. On the other hand, PS2 and PS1 games are region coded, so you can only play those games (if your PS3 has backwards compt.) on the same region PS3 model.
yes region and settings are all ok its weird because it plays casino royale and x-man last stand which we had with the ps3 but wont play no other blue rays. we have tries all different settings and the region is definatly correct.
yes you can ps3 games are region free but the blu-ray movies are region locked
They don't play on my 60GB PS3.
You could put the movies onto your ps3 from your ipad
The PS3 connects to the Playstation network for online players and it is region set. The web browser is worldwide, but for game play the PS3 will only play within the region and only other PS3 players. Xbox 360 and PC games are not even compatible with the PS3 even if they could play.
Yes for games. All ps3's are region free for games. No for blu-ray movies.
