You can not use the normal PSP headphones on a PSP 2000 series, however you can buy a pair of PSP 2000 series headphones which you can most likely get anywhere you can get the original PSP headphones the original PSP has a 3 pronged connecter cord while the PSP 2000 has a 5 which comes on the PSP 2000 series headphones.

∙ 10y agoThere isn't such a thing as 'PSP 2000 headphones', they're just Sony's generic headphones. They'll work on anything with an appropriately sized headphone port.

Clearly, the PSP slim and lite (PSP 3000 has been out for some time now) is better then the original PSP. I would only recommend the PSP-1000 if you have a tendency to drop your PSP a lot since it has a metal chassis which the slim and lite does not have.
