If the sperm reaches my egg on the tenth day of ovulation wil i still ovulate all fourteen days?

Peak ovulation only lasts about two days. Buy an ovulation kit to check your ovulation. If a sperm reaches an egg ten days after peak ovulation, well...the egg is probably not there anymore.

What is the percentage of getting pregnant a day after ovulation?

There is a high chance to get pregnant a day after ovulation because the egg which is ready to be fertilized can live 12 to 24 hours. Sperm can also live up to two to three days. There is high chance to get pregnant two days before ovulation, during ovulation and a day after.

What does ovulation have to do with pregnancy?

Ovulation is the time when your egg drops through your filopian tubes and can be fertilized by a sperm that enters through your cervix. This egg that drops is only good for about two days. If it isn't fertilized then that's why you have your period, to flush it out naturally.

Can you be pregnant if you had intercourse two days after your period without protection?

Since the ovulation is half way the menstruation cycle and takes 14 days, the chance of getting pregnant is quite small, because a sperm cell lives about 3 days and would be dead by then.

What gender can you get 2 days after ovulation?

You cannot get pregnant two days after ovulation. During ovulation however, gender is 50/50. You will be able to see which gender your child is after being pregnant for 7 weeks.

Can you get pregnant if you got up right after he ejaculated in you?

Yes, you certainly can. Once the sperm hits the moisture in the female, it is not going to care much about gravity. It will swim its way toward the goal of the egg.

How many days dose ovulation last?

Ovulation has a 3 days window. Day one you are beginning to ovulate, day two you are ovulating and day three you are finishing ovulation. During this time there is a high risk of pregnancy.

Can be pregnant with sex two or three days to ovulation?

Yes! That's actually perfect timing to successfully become pregnant since sperm can live anywhaere from 3-5 days inside you! To have really good chances of conceiving, you should have sex 2 days before, the day of, and the day after ovulation. If you are trying to conceive immediately after performing sex on these 4 days try laying on your back for at least 15-30 minutes with a pillow under your lower back to help guide sperm inside your uterus. And NO LUBRICANT it can slow down sperm. If you are not trying to conceive I would invest in an ovulation calendar (I have the Ladytimer app on my iPhone) and avoid having sex during the week of ovulation! But for now you are on a two week wait to take notice of pregnancy symptoms and see if your period shows up if it doesnt take a home pregnancy test and go from there best of luck to you!

How do a woman naturally knows when she is fertile?

ANSWERImportant to know. In the middle of the menstrual cycle (on 13-16 days) ovulation occurs - the dominant egg is released from the follicle and is drawn into the fallopian tube on its way to the uterus. This triggers a host of hormonal secretions - including estrogens - that thicken the uterine lining to support a pregnancy. Women are fertile for about 24-48 hours around the time of ovulation (before and after ovulation). But how long can sperm survive in a woman? The answer is a very difficult one and depends on a large number of variables including the individual longevity of sperm, the internal metabolic capacity of sperm, the environment of the vagina (body temperature, pH levels, relative acidity), the presence of cervical mucus, the quality of cervical mucus, the ability of the sperm to get out of the vagina and into the womb, and the presence of sperm antagonists like immunity securing white-blood cells. If consider the most ideal conditions (ideal vaginal/uterine environments, fertile eggs, strong sperm health, etc) sperm may be able to survive between six and seven days. That's about a quarter of a typical menstrual cycle - and that means an extended window of fertility before ovulation. In most cases, however, we can assume that there will be realistic factors that may decrease sperm longevity or inhibit sperm movement. First of all, the sperm need to get out of the vagina and into the uterus (through the cervix). If the sperm can't make that initial leg of the journey in a few hours, most will end up dead shortly thereafter. Now, if fertile-quality cervical mucus is present and abundant, and if the sperm make it to cervix and the womb, then sperm life-span can be extended. On average, we can expect sperm to survive just a day or two, and given more optimum conditions or luckier happenstance, a handful of days more. Of course, with each passing day more and more sperm die and the odds of conceiving diminish

When do fetilized eggs leave the ovary?

The ovary only has unfertilized eggs. The egg ripens in the ovary and is released during ovulation. If the egg encounters sperm after it has been released, it may become fertilized and result in a pregnancy. (Sperm can hang around for up to about a week, so havign sex several days before ovulation can still result in a pregnancy.) If the egg does not become fertilized, it signals the uterus lining to break down and the woman has her period, usually about two weeks after ovulation.
