NO! Granite is hard S#$!.
1.If you don't have a diamond blade its not gonna do much. It doesn't matter how many blades or which way they turn.
2.You will need water to cool the blade and the tile.
Without water to cool it the tile will get hot and break and the blade unless diamond will overheat turn to molten metal and fly apart .
Slate tile can be easily cut with a hand masonry saw using a blade with 14 teeth per inch (the coarser the teeth the better the cut). Scribe a line on the slate, whether it be a circle or straight, and cut through vertically.
Cut through glass is different from scaring the surface of glass. People who cut glass use a diamond-tipped tool to score the surface of the glass, then they tap the glass with a rubber mallet, which fractures the glass along the line of the score. You could use a diamond-tipped saw to cut through glass, especially if it was a thick plate.
It can, and very easily. A Home Depot store has two wood saws. One is a radial arm saw, and it can cut any of the dimensional stock but 6x6s which won't fit in the saw, and they won't cut Hardiboard siding because it tears up the blade. The other is a panel saw that can cut any wooden sheet goods but not drywall, concrete board or Hardipanel siding.
It means the blade can be tipped in two directions. Either left or right. A single bevel saw can only lean the blade in one direction. You can do the same cuts with a single bevel saw, but a dual bevel can save time and can make some cuts easier.
Yes, with a stone cutting blade, but it would have to be a blade made to cut while dry and it would be a slow process with lots of dust.
The dual saw has counter rotating blade technology to cut through virtually any material without changing blades. Check products reviews first.

There are several types of cutting methods and apparatus depending on what type of cut you need. Diamond tip blades are usually used for cutting sections of a granite countertop. There is also a method called "Waterjet" which involves a high pressure jet of water travelling across the stone and effectively slicing through the surface. Very intricate shapes can be cut through this process , but it can be a slow and expensive way. Jason MD Mistermarble www.mistermarble.co.uk

The teeth on a circular saw are set to cut and advance through the cut surface as the saw is pushed. This is possibly the most common and useful tool on any building site.
A type of saw used to cut through metal instead of wood.
The most popular saw is a 12 inch compound miter saw like the Makita LS1221 (about $350 or so). If the molding is not terribly large, a 10 inch dual sliding compound miter saw will do the job well (example Makita LS1016L, about $550 - 600). The dual sliding saws are really designed for cutting crown molding.
