The purpose of the page is to provide a personalized experience. You can customize your page with different themes, your own pictures, and many different widgets.
iGoogle is a personal, customizable web page that serves the purpose of the Google home page (equipped with the Google search bar and functions) with the added benefit of a personalized theme, and widgets, or applications which, among other things can display messages, weather, date and time, news, and games. An iGoogle is linked to a Google account, and it is possible to toggle one's preferences to go directly to Google or to iGoogle when visiting www.google.com.
It is because of the extension or the homepage set to iGoogle. You can remove the extension to get a blank page.
iGoogle is Google's customisable home page. Chrome is a Web browser.
You can get rid of your iGoogle page by going to your upper righgt and clicking on Classic Home and it should take you back to your normal google page.
iGoogle is an alternative to Google Classic Home page. It isn't part of your account, it's part of the Google Web Search package. If it appears and you don't want it, you don't have to use it. Simply switch to Classic Home by clicking the "Classic Home" link at the top right of the iGoogle page.
If you are trying to get back to the old Google page instead of the new iGoogle one, go to the upper right hand corner of the new one and click "Classic Home" and you should be good.
At the bottom of the page there should be a "Classic Home" link.
