Can the stock stereo be replaced in a 2000 Chevy Cavalier without keeping the old stereo In other words do any of the dingers or dash lights run through the radio on a 2000 cavalier?

You do not need to keep your radio like it has been previously stated many times before (like in the trunk). Crutchfield.com offers a "GM Class II Data bus Interface" - it lets you install an aftermarket receiver in late model GM vehicles without losing the door chime and audible safety warnings but is not compatible with Bose or Monsoon systems. Just go to Crutchfield.com and on the left there is a search bar. Enter "Metra VT-GMRC-02" or you can just go here - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-THOIyqrmdKC/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g120GMRC02&search=door+chime (its about 80 bucks) Good Luck! ==Mistaglock wrote== i replaced the car stereo with a aftermarket car stereo without any special part "the part is like 80 dollars". i just hardwired it and it dont turn off unless you power it off manually "the car sends a special signal to the car stereo to notify it that the car has been turned off.

The easiest way to bypass your 1998 Chevy Cavalier factory security system is to remove the fuse. The security system fuse can be found in the fuse box.

Yes, by towing with the front wheels off the ground. Or by keeping it under 55 with the transmission in neutral.

Generally yes. A Cavalier and a Cocker Spaniel mix is known as a Cockalier and these dogs certainly suffer from less genetic defects than pedigree dogs. A Cockalier, however, is a "designer dog", so they cannot be registered with kennel clubs for pedigree dogs (eg. the American Kennel Club) and they cannot be shown. But if you're keeping a Cockalier generally as a companion animal, then it is usually fine.

Absolutely not. They are two different breeds and, unfortunately, are commonly mistaken for the same breed. Be careful when attempting to buy either one, because some breeders will sell you the wrong breed. Some breeders are so ignorant that they have mistakenly cross-bred a cavalier and a non-cavalier, resulting in a hybrid mongrel, and calling them pedigrees, when they in fact are not.King Charles Spaniels were the first of the spaniel type to exist, originating from the 16th century and named after a British monarch who is famous for keeping them. These types were slightly aggressive and bred for hunting. They would chase small animals and use their teeth to rip open the throat of the creature, then carry it back to their master. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is not aggressive and was bred as a lapdog and a showdog. They will rarely chase other animals, if they do it is out of curiosity rather than aggression. The King Charles Spaniel has a short face, almost pug-like. The short face allows them to easily use their teeth to shred a small animal to death. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has a long face, with a jaw that is very unsuitable for tearing at flesh.Features of a King Charles Spaniel are:A domed head over the eyesWide nostrils, which are on a short nose, turned up to meet the skullFlat mouth/snoutCat-shaped toes (three fused toes and central pad)Undershot teeth formationWeigh between 8lbs and 14lbsGentle and reserved but short-tempered and can be aggressiveBred for hunting and killing small animalsFeatures of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel are:Almost flat skull between the earsLong face/snoutAn apparent 'spot' in the centre of the skull in between the eyes (feels hollow when felt with a finger, though it isn't)Longer jaw to accompany the longer face/snoutCompact dog-like paws (four toes and a central pad)Scissor teeth formationWeigh between 12lbs and 18lbsGentle, friendly, curious and non-aggressive (can sometimes get nervous)Bred as lapdogs for company and as showdogsIf you are choosing to buy a 'Charles' breed of spaniel, then which breed suits you is down to where you plan to live and who with. If you live in a countryside then a King Charles Spaniel will be ideal for you, as it can keep you company while naturally hunting pests such as mice and rabbits. Due to their aggression, they are not the best breed to have in a city mixing with rival dogs and neighbouring cats.If you live in an urban area, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel will suit you. It will keep you company and greet your visitors in a very friendly manner. They are not aggressive so they are not a problem with other dogs or local cats.If you have children, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel will probably be safer for them. Although both breeds love children, the non-Cavalier breed still has a short temper, while the Cavalier breed will stay calm and simply walk away if it gets bored of the children.
