The way we measure time is man-made, but time is a central element in the world, without time there would be no synchronization of societies' needs and chaos would be the norm. Much more can be accomplished when chaos is minimized. Ancient societies and the few remaining indigenous groups used nature's time based on the positions of the sun and the moon and the seasons of the year.
