I would think not. The timimg belt correctly times the ignition to allow the engine to run. No spark would have to be a problem in the primary or secondary ignition system componets. However a broken timing belt would not allow the input of ignition componets due to lack of rotation.
700 bucks for drive belt, timing belt, vane pump belt and spark plugs.
try timing belt
IT COULD BE TIMING BELT OR CHAIN MAYBE FUEL PUMP COIL PACK CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS SPARK IF NO SPARK COULD BE COIL WITH SPARK FUEL PUMP OR TIMING BELT
well the reason my coil was not getting power on my 85 mr2 was cuz the timing belt snaped
yes, you will still get a spark, just not at the right time
no it has a timing chain, supposedly to cut down on valvetrain noise.
Could be broken timing belt. Do the spark plugs have spark?
could be the coil pack but did u check the timing belt .does it spin real fast, belt could be broken thus no spark
If getting fuel and spark, then need compression and air.
well if there is no spark, the distributor is bad.
The 2012 Chevy Spark is equipped with a timing chain, not a timing belt. Timing chains generally require less maintenance and are designed to last the life of the engine, unlike timing belts which typically need to be replaced at regular intervals. Always consult your owner's manual for specific maintenance recommendations.
I just replaced the timing belt on my 98 camry 4 cly and know it has now spark and im am positive that it is in time
