The glare of the Sun WILL hurt your eyes..also there is a small chance that the UV radiations of the Sun can make you blind..

I think it depends how bad it is. these days most people have sun spot from the harsh radiation from the sun so 1 or 2 days WITH sunblock. Sunburns hurt bad. trust me i saw my relatives get a sunburn and it was not pretty!
