A very large turtle would be capable of eating a hamster. If the turtle is too small, the animals would just injure each other. I am sure you would not want this, as it would just be cruel. However, by the time they get to the size to have the ability, they tend to become more vegetarian. The older a turtle gets, the less meat it will have in its diet.
