Two records must not have the same value in the primary key field, as this would place them in the same ranking on the status sheet, which could result in a catastrophic failure of the desired program.

If two records have the same key field value, then it is possible to create an index without the duplicates by means of this option. *

When would you use a Primary Key and when would you not?

A primary key is a key that is unique. A primary key is used to identify a record uniquely. There is not any particular case to not have a primary key . If you want to identify your records you should have a primary key or a surrogate key(as an alternative to it) .In reality, you should always have a primary key. A primary key is there to uniquely identify each record, as it is like other elements would be duplicated. If you had a very large amount of names of people, then it is highly likely that the same firstname or same surname or even the same full name will come up more than once. Having a primary key distinguishes them as each primary key has to be unique.Situations where you might not use it is where you have a very defined set of values where there is guaranteed to be no duplicates, like a database that has the 12 months of the year or a list of regions that all have different names. You still could make them primary keys, but in the case of the months, it would change them into alphabetical order, which you would not want, so that would be another reason for not using a primary key. To keep them in order, you could add another field, with the values from 1 to 12 and use that field as the primary key.

What are symbols that evaluate each field value to determine if it is the same or in between a range values as specified by the criteria?

less than (<) and greater than (>)

What is a primary key in relational databases?

A primary key is a set of one or more attributes that can uniquely identify tuples within the relation.A Primary Key is made up of one or more fields or columns that are used to uniquely identify a record or row in a table. No two records can have the same primary key and the database manager will not allow that to happenPrimary key consists of column or columns whose value uniquely identifies a row.Following are the key feature of primary keyIt can't be nullThere can ONLY be one primary key defined on a single table.A database designer choose this key to identifying unique records within a table. its values must not change. a primary key tells you the difference between James smith and another James smith because one has a different number than the other. The primary key is the field, or combination of fields, that uniquely identify each record in a table. It is usually the primary key that is stored in other tables (in which case it is called a "foreign key"), to find the record in the specified table. For example, a client might be identified by a field ClientId, which uniquely identifies each client. In the client table, this field would be called the "primary key"; if used in other tables to refer to a client, it is called a "foreign key".We can uniquely identify the database by which attribute or set of attributes that is called the PRIMARY KEY.it's basically a unique reference or ID (usually a number). You may need to create this in your database, or your dataset may already contain a unique ID field. In a database , the primary key field defines the field that is unique and not null. The values must be unique and can not simply have NOT NULL.To uniquely identify a tuple or row in database , primary key must be used. a primary key is used to uniquely identify a tuple.A primary key is the unique identifier for a row in a database table. It is formed into a unique index constraint, so that access to the row in question can be quick. It is usually preferred by the optimizer as the primary join predicate. Presence of the primary key is usually a prerequiste for building a dynaset query, as opposed to a snapshot query, or for making an updateable view joining more than one table.the powerful in a releation database management system such as MICROSOFT ACCESS from the ability to quikly find and bring together information stored in separate tables. in order for MICROSOFT ACCESS to work most efficiently each table in your database should include a field or set of fields that uniquely identifies each individual record stored in table. this often a unique idnetification number, such as an employee ID number or serial number. IN DATABASE TERMINOLOGY, this information is called of the table. MICROSOFT ACCESS uses primary key field to quikly associate data from multiple tables and bring the data together for you. make sure the values in this field will always be different for each record MICROSOFT ACCESS doesnt allow duplicate values in

Victor records is the name of a record company. victrola records are the type of records played on a victrola machine. Victor Record Company made both Victor Records and Victrola Records. I had many of each.......Cairoconnie1@hotmail.com

Equivalent fractions have the same value.

Why is a field with an AutoNumber data type a good candidate for the primary key field for that table?

Because it uniquely identifies each record in that table, No two records can have the exact same entry in the field designated as the primary key.

What does the term primary key mean?

The primary key refers to the field in a database that would contain only unique values. For every row in the table, the value in this field would definitely be unique. for example in an employee table, the employee number field would be the primary key. no two employees would have the same employee number.

What is Auto Number in Microsoft Access?

The Autonumber field is a pre-defined field type, that automatically increments, ensuring that they same number cannot be used more than once. It is used to uniquely identify a record and particularly if a primary key field has not been designated by the user. If a record is deleted, the number will not be assigned to another record. The user cannot change the field value, as it is automatically generated. The Autonumber field is a pre-defined field type, that automatically increments, ensuring that they same number cannot be used more than once. What is autonumber field in access?

Automatically stores a number that is one greater than the last number used. It is used to identify a record by acting as a Primary Key. A Primary Key is unique and cannot be left blank. Even if a number is deleted, that number will never be used again, ensuring that each record can be uniquely identified. You do not have to enter the value. It will automatically enter itself. You also cannot change it.

Can you import a primary key in Excel?

You can import the field that is the primary key, along with all the other fields. As Excel is not really a database program, it doesn't have quite the same facilities to recognise primary keys. You can still use it as the main field to sort the data on, and also specify other fields to sort on.You can import the field that is the primary key, along with all the other fields. Is the primary key a field that uniquely identifies each record?

A unique key is used to enforce uniqueness of each row in a table. A unique key comprises a single column or a set of columns. No two distinct rows in a table can have the same value (or combination of values) in those columns. A primary key is simply a NOT NULL unique constraint. Table can have only one primary key, but many unique keys.

What is computer primary keys?

Primary keys are used in databases to uniquely identify records. No two records can have the same primary key. This means that there is a way of distinguishing records that have similar details, like if you have a database with lots of names and there are some people in it who have the same name. Every record must have a primary key. It cannot be left blank, because it is needed to identify each record. Primary keys are also important in relational databases when relationships are being built between tables. A record in one table can refer to the primary key in another to establish the link to the correct record.

Is the last name a primary key?

In some cases, a last name can be used as a primary key if it uniquely identifies each record in a dataset. However, it is generally not recommended to use a last name as a primary key due to the potential for duplication or changes over time. It is often better to use a combination of attributes to create a more robust primary key.

What is the value of a Parker Brothers western field model 14 shotgun?

My records indicate that a Western field model 14 shotgun was made for Montgomery Wards by the Savage arms company,The Savage model 39A,or the Model 59A is the same firearm as the western field model 14.Most savage model shotguns of that vintage are worth between 130-200 dollars at most.

Primary voltage is 5V and secondary is 30V the primary magnetic field is 15N what would the secondary magnetic field be?

This is a trick question. A transformer transforms voltage and currents. The magnetic field strength of 15 Newtons (a measurement of force, or power) is not changed - in other words what you put into a transformer (in terms of power) you get out the other side (minus losses). so 15N in, 15N out. You can also think of it this way: voltage is applied to the primary side, which induces a magnetic field. This magnetic field induces a voltage in the secondary side. So the magnetic field produced in the primary side is the same magnetic field that produces the secondary voltage. Thus the answer is in the question - the magnetic field is 15N (there's only one).
