Most likely you will have to remove your old card to install the new one. Few motherboards offer support for 2 video cards, and even then they would have to be bridged, ie same model with connectors. Make sure your motherboard supports the card (AGP vs. PCI). Also make sure you can send your sound signal to SPDIF to HDMI so that this can support video AND sound. If you have a HD Plasma screen you probably have 8 pin connector in the back, as well as DVI, so you can take your DVI from your existing video card (even most 4 year old cards have that) and plug it in the Plasma's DVI for same-quality image. All you need then is to also connect the sound.
