it is not a virus you just have to redownload a software update for the sound card to work again
Yes, you can disable the sound card integrated into the motherboard through the system's BIOS/UEFI settings or by disabling it in the operating system's device manager. In the BIOS/UEFI, look for audio settings and toggle the onboard sound option. In the device manager, you can right-click on the sound device and select "Disable." This will prevent the operating system from using the onboard sound card.
i think that it is a crime because it does not even sound legal
I don't believe so. I own it and run it on a PC with a sound card but I had to disable it in order to run the device without conflicts. It now functions as my sound card. I haven't tried the device with the sound card enabled but I can imagine some kind of issue arising when using WMP or any other program that plays audio. Just disable the sound card and you should be fine.
It is possible that a virus could do that. Remove the virus as soon as possible.
To restart your sound card, first, right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Sounds" or "Sound settings." Under the "Playback" tab, right-click your sound card and choose "Disable," then right-click again and select "Enable." Alternatively, you can also restart your computer, which will reset the sound card automatically. If issues persist, consider updating or reinstalling the sound drivers through the Device Manager.
Someone might choose to disable an embedded sound device and add a dedicated sound card to achieve higher audio quality and better sound performance, especially for gaming or professional audio work. A dedicated sound card often provides advanced features such as improved signal-to-noise ratios, enhanced surround sound capabilities, and support for higher sample rates. Additionally, a sound card can reduce CPU load by handling audio processing separately, leading to better overall system performance. Lastly, users may also prefer specific audio connections or enhancements that are only available through a dedicated card.
