Speaking from personal experience, yes. The muscles used in coughing can cause bleeding in pregnancy. This has been confirmed by my OB doctor but I would recommend that if a woman was to have this to call their doctor and make an appointment.

∙ 12y agoAbsolutely! I have had bronchitis for just over 2 weeks, with severe coughing. Then I started having vaginal bleeding. Ultrasound today indicated I have a partially expelled IUD (Mirena), most likely caused by my coughing!
