Is white flour gluten free?

It is most likely NOT gluten-free. Distilled vinegar made from wheat IS contaminated with wheat protein fragments too small to be filtered out, yet large enough to be recognizably wheat gluten protein. Too many people who are advising others hold the misconception that distilled vinegar is "pure".

Does mold grow faster on store bought bread or homemade bread?

The purpose of the experiment was to discover how the type of bread affected the amount of mold. The bread was cut and placed in separate Ziploc bags. The bread was measured for mold every day and was recorded on the data sheet. My hypothesis was "If the white, wheat, whole wheat, sourdough, and sweet bread were placed in Ziploc bags and left for 20 days, then the sweet bread would grow the most mold because the sweet bread had the most energy (sugar) that the mold can use to grow." Whole Wheat bread was the type of bread that grew the most mold, while white, wheat, and sourdough did not grow any mold. When Whole Wheat bread was left to mold, it grew an average of 60.91 square cm. When sweet bread was left to mold, it grew an average of .58 square cm. of mold. When white, wheat, and sourdough were left to mold, they grew no visible mold.

What does the US do with the left over wheat?

There ususally is not much left over wheat. The U.S. is known as the bread basket of the world - so quite a bit of it is sold overseas. The "left over" would most likely be processed and stored to be used over winter when most crops are not being grown (and then sold to food manufacturers).

Why does white bread have more fiber than wholemeal bread?

White bread normally doesn't have more fiber, unless artificial fiber is added before the bread is baked. Whole wheat bread is more nutritious because the flour isn't bleached and all of the wheat germ is still left in. If the brand of white bread says it has more fiber, they are using fiber from an artificial source. In the 1980's, a brand of "high-fiber" bread actually used saw-dust to add fiber to their product They were forced to take their product off of the market.

How do you use left over in a sentence?

Finding Good Foods for a Person with Gluten Intolerance?

Gluten tolerance is not an inability to eat wheat, as odd as it seems. It is an inability of the body to process gluten, a major component in wheat. The condition is also known as as Celiac’s Disease. Gluten intolerance is not as widespread as lactose intolerance, but if a sufferer does not catch it in time, it can lead to more serious disease. Stomach cancer occurs most frequently in Celiac’s Disease patients. Although the condition can cause serious problems if left untreated, doctors have a difficult time diagnosing this type of allergy. Typical allergy tests do not show it, and the only way to confirm the diagnosis for most food allergies is to get the patient to cut that food out of his diet entirely. While giving up wheat may seem like a major step, it is necessary one for a person with gluten intolerance to improve his overall level of health. Many common products have wheat, and some products that contained modified food starch may contain hidden wheat. Even Chinese food, which does not normally have a lot of gluten-laden ingredients is not entirely safe. Wheat is often used to make mono sodium glutamate, commonly known as MSG. If a person suspects he has Celiac’s Disease wants to order from a Chinese restaurant, he should ask them to withhold this chemical. The grocery store is not much help. Having gluten intolerance or having someone in your family with the condition means that a consumer must read the labels carefully to avoid the allergen. Sometimes, a product may be processed in a plant that uses wheat but otherwise be safe. When in doubt, however, it is a good idea not to purchase. Wheat free eating has become trendy even among people who do not have gluten intolerance. This has made gluten-free products more readily available. Prices, unfortunately, have also gone up in increase with the demand. Specialty food stores carry non-wheat flours for a person who wants or needs to try their hand at wheat-free cooking.

Does Minecraft have cookies?

Yes, Minecraft does have cookies. You must have cocoa beans and wheat. Cocoa beans can be obtained from a jungle on the jungle wood, or from dungeons. You can grow cocoa beans by placing them on jungle wood and waiting for them to fully develop. You can get wheat by farming, assuming you know how to do that. The crafting recipe for a cookie is one wheat on the right, one cookie in the middle, and another wheat on the left. Check the related links for a visual!

Is bread kosher for Passover?

No. Bread is not kosher for Passover. (However, unless it has any "weird ingredients" like bacon fat or violates the rules and chadash/yashan grain, bread is kosher for all times other than Passover.)

Which food molds the fastest?

The purpose of my experiment was to discover how the type of bread affected the amount of mold. The bread was cut and placed in separate Ziploc bags. The bread was measured for mold every day and was recorded on the data sheet. Whole Wheat bread was the type of bread that grew the most mold, while white, wheat, and sourdough did not grow any mold. When Whole Wheat bread was left to mold, it grew an average of 60.91 square cm. When sweet bread was left to mold, it grew an average of .58 square cm. of mold. When white, wheat, and sourdough were left to mold, they grew no visible mold. Mold eats only organic material as they primarily degrade cellulose, often found on plants. Cellulose is not digestible by humans and is often referred to as 'dietary fiber' or 'roughage'. In Whole Wheat and sweet bread, there is more cellulose than the other types of bread. In the whole wheat bread, there is at least 70 percent of the wheat germ, and since 33 percent of all plant matter is cellulose, there is the most cellulose in the whole wheat bread. IN Addition: Breads with the higher moisture levels have the greatest chance of molding first because they have a larger amount of medium for the mold to grow upon. Breads like banana nut bread, sourdough, and pumpernickel last the shortest time for me. I refrigerate my breads until i need them. Human contact can also effect this test.
