I went to Gettysburg twice. You can walk around a lot of the perimeter. You can go on Little and Big Rock and go inside their caves. The main battlefield is massive and deep and you aren't allowed to go on it. You can stand on rocks and look at the battlefield. It is amazing, breathtaking and emotional. It is considered sacred ground. It's unbelievable standing where thousands of men died.
