If you are talking about the dipstick for the automatic transmission , on the passenger side of the engine , near the firewall - Yes - use a funnel and If it's just down a little bit , add a small amount each time , and then check the level on the dipstick - you don't want to overfill the automatic transmission
I have a 1999 Potiac Grand Am SE, and I cannot find the transmission dip stick to check the transmission fluid.
its on the transmission it self no dip stick take it to a place where they change transmission fluid shop
The transmission fluid should be checked when the is vehicle is warmed up and while the engine is on. The Trans oil dip stick has a red cap and is located on the left side of the engine (when standing in the front of truck) and toward the windshield. Pull the dip stick a wipe, relace, remove and check the level on the stick. Good luck.
Add automatic transmission fluid through the dip stick tube. No kidding!
The transmission is sealed and there is no dipstick. The fluid is unique and expensive and can only be added under the car.
There is no transmission dipstick. They have a sealed transaxle. You should never have to add or replace fluid.
I have a 1999 DeVille and the dip stick for the auto Transmission is located on the drivers side, under the air filter. You must remove the air filter and the holder in order to get to the transmission dip stick. You can add fluid here, but that is about all you can do. The transmission is sealed and you have to take it to a service provider and have the fluid and filter changed. That is not necessary until you reach 100,000 miles, unless your have problems with your transmission.
There is no dip stick in the ML for the transmission box - It has to be done by the Mercedes Dealer who has the required dip stick Hope this helps
The manual transmission don't have a dip stick. It has a plug in the side of it that you remove and check the fluid level.
Transmission fluid is inside the transmission.
I have a 1999 Grand am se and it dont have a dipstick but it do have a red transmission fluid top on the right side of the 3400 sign that could be unscrewed but it don't have anything on it to check the fluid but you could stick your finger in it to see if its anything in it
The transmission fluid is filled by removing the red tipped transmission stick behind the engine block. The transmission pan is behind the oil pan under the vehicle, and is attached by 15-20 bolts.
