Without meaning any disrespect, if I were in your position I would not do business with any company that offered me one. I am disparaging the company, not you. The idea behind credit cards is that they are a convenience, and not a source of income. A company says to you: "You can purchase goods with our card, on our word to the sellers that we will pay for the goods. We are willing to do this because you have or will have the money to cover the purchases by the time you are required to make a payment."
It would be a cynical and devious approach for a company to offer a person in your situation a card, because what they are really saying is: "You are going to build up debt that you cannot pay, we will continue to charge you outrageous interest rates, you will be indebted to us for years, and we will eventually make at least some money after having ruined your life further. We couldn't care less about your life or your needs; we are looking out for our own bottom line, and we are going to get rich with the help of card holders like you".
Credit card debt is one of the worst imaginable debts, especially for people who are in financial trouble to begin with. Credit card companies charge outrageous interest if balances are not paid in full monthly, and this seriously compounds the problem. They will arrange it so that you have what looks like a low and manageable minimum payment. Month after month your balance goes up with more purchases until you have maxed out the card, and then almost all of the minimum payment goes toward paying the outrageous interest they are charging.
In your situation, avoid credit cards at all costs.
The way to apply for any credit card including a platinum credit card would be to go to the website and apply. You need a stable job and good credit too.
Start with a department store card. If you can't get that start with a "secured" credit card. It will build credit and allow you to apply for a regular credit card down the road.
"To apply for a Capitol One credit card, you would need to first have a stable job, and a good credit history. Then you would need to go to their webpage, and fill out the requested application."
Legally, an 18 year-old can get a loan, however, they don't generally have a long enough credit history to do so. Even with a full time job, the lack of credit history will deter financial institutions from offering credit. Some suggestions: * Apply for a loan with a co-signer (that has a good credit history) * Apply for a secured credit card that reports to credit agencies (one will deposit money in an account which will protect the issuer of the secured card from default; over time, the credit record will be built and the card holder can apply for standard credit products)
It depends on how bad the credit and how good the job.

If you have a job or if you are a working student, you can apply to have a credit card. Because credit card companies like HSBC will not allow people to apply for a credit card without a salary. If you are a working student, you can apply for one and the amount or limit of your credit card will depend on your salary.
