It is recommended that you do not wash your dog for at least 48 hours after applying frontline. You should not use a harsh shampoo or a flea shampoo when you have used frontline.
Washing your pet up to once a week was shown not to impact its effectiveness.
You can apply frontline after washing a dog, but not before. It needs time to absorb into the skin, so if you apply and then bathe it at least part of it will wash off. It would prob be best to wait for dog to dry as much as possible, at least air dry a bit, so the water doesn't dilute it and/or pull it away from the skin.
You can not apply frontline on a cut or bleeding blister no.
The dog has to be at least 3 months old.
Once a dog is 8 weeks old, you can use Frontline - there is no weight requirement. There are different doses for different weights, so select the one that most closely matches your dog's weight.
The reason that you need to apply frontline to the shoulder blades is so that dog or cat can't lick it. Putting it on your animal's stomach where he can lick it can be dangerous to the animal.
NO, this is really dangerous for the dog. Frontline for 40lb dogs is 4x as strong as Frontline for 10lb dogs, and the increased dosage is poisonous to the dog.
Well most times you can apply only the month needed. You don't want too much of this in their system. 30hrs is almost 2 days, so no i would not re apply the Frontline plus. If your dog is suffering from ticks or other problems check them out at the nearest Veterinarian Center, they will be able to tell whats wrong with your dog. :D
That means its working. My dog had fleas and when I applied the Frontline, she did the same thing, because the Frontline was killing the fleas and they were running all over the place, and itching my dog. If this is the first time giving your dog Frontline, make sure he/she is ok, and isn't having any kind of allergic reaction, and as long as its not causing any discomfort or concern, she is fine.
Apply frontline/other tic medicine on your dog at the appropriate time is usually the best way to do it. Check your dog after going in a field or in tall grass.
I would not recommend it. I do know you should never put the canine Frontline on a cat. You should use the canine Frontline for the dog according to his weight and the same for a cat, use feline Frontline only. Why mix them?
Beagles, like most other animals, can get ticks. This is why it is recommended to apply Frontline, or a similar medicine, to your dog's back once a month.
A dog should not get sick from the recommended dose of Frontline. It would need over 50 doses for a toxic affect to be expected.
Frontline by itself should be sufficient to deal with your cat or dog's flea problem. Using a flea bath will reduce the effectiveness of the Frontline (you should only wash your dog with a gentle shampoo to maintain Frontline's protection).
