Most varieties of super glue will work. However, I've found the Loctite version to be best for windows. This is sold as 'Loctite Auto Mirror Adhesive'.

NO super glue is not elmers
Super Glue gel is wonderful for this. Unlike regular super glue, it has a gel-like consistency so it can conform and stick to uneven surfaces (the finding). Unlike tacky/white glue, it dries very quickly; the finding won't slide away while drying.

If you don't want it to move about, super glue it or put velcro on the bottom of it and on where you want it to be at and attach it.
Elmer's glue or any white glue will do this.
I would use neither. Go get craft glue at a craft store. It dries fast, sticks to fabric, and is clear when dry. I love this stuff because it can be mixed with water or color.
