Most varieties of super glue will work. However, I've found the Loctite version to be best for windows. This is sold as 'Loctite Auto Mirror Adhesive'.
Use strong glue to attach mirror
Remove the 'button' from the mirror stalk and glue it to the window with 'Loctite Auto Mirror Adhesive'. It will stick almost instantly and you can attach the mirror to it in about 5 minutes.
Super glue is best for this
The best glue for this is made by 'Loctite' and is called Auto mirror adhesive. Sold at many auto parts stores
Super glue remover officially; however, super glue is quite brittle, and a well-placed tap with a hammer on a flathead screwdriver might work better.
Get some rear view mirror glue from target and glue the plate to the window. Make sure the tapered edge tapers into the window. If you glue it on wrong you can always buy another plate and glue that to the first but you will feel pretty stupid. Then slide the mirror on the plate.
The mirror has a removable clip on the end of it. Glue this piece onto the windshield using a special glue made just for this. You can buy it at most auto parts stores. Once it is dry, you can slide the mirror back onto the clip. The mirror has a removable clip on the end of it. Glue this piece onto the windshield using a special glue made just for this. Most rear-view mirrors are attached with special glue - go to any auto-parts store and ask them for rear-view mirror glue and they'll help you out.
You can buy a kit from the auto parts store for reattaching your rear view mirror. The glue is not much different from super glue and you will need to get both the glass and the metal piece on the mirror mount clean before applying the adhesive. The mirror is held on to the metal mount which is stuck to the window by a small Allen screw, you need to mount the metal piece by itself as the whole mirror assembly will be too heavy to stick, then slide the mirror on to the metal piece after the glue has set.ANS 2 - Get 'Loctite Auto Mirror Adhesive" in most auto parts stores.
get a mirror kit from auto parts storeor you can simply get adhesive especially for auto windows...you have to remove the mounting plate from the mirror stem and glue that back to the window. Once that has dried, you can put the mirror back on the mounting plate. You can purchase Loctite Auto Mirror Adhesive to replace the rear view mirror at any auto parts store or Walmart. Follow the directions to the letter.
Not the best--If you want to use something found at home use super glue but let the button sit on spot without mirror for at least 12 hours.
