You can buy a kit from the auto parts store for reattaching your rear view mirror.
The glue is not much different from super glue and you will need to get both the glass and the metal piece on the mirror mount clean before applying the adhesive.
The mirror is held on to the metal mount which is stuck to the window by a small Allen screw, you need to mount the metal piece by itself as the whole mirror assembly will be too heavy to stick, then slide the mirror on to the metal piece after the glue has set.
ANS 2 - Get 'Loctite Auto Mirror Adhesive" in most auto parts stores.
