It isn't easy to hunt male pheasants. Wild birds can run very quickly through dense cover or hunch down and remain still and unseen. I've seen many a flushed bird land and "know" right where they are - only they're not there when I get there. Now male pheasants certainly are easy to spot in bleached out grasses or corn rows. The flash of red/white/green is unmistakeable. But it certinaly ain't 'easy' to hunt them. It is however a TON of fun.
