Be gentle and in water shallow for them so that they can't drown. Our pups both got baths when they were around 14 weeks. We just made sure we used a very mild and gentle shampoo made specifically for puppies so we wouldn't dry out their skin. And we were sure to not bathe them too often either.

dawn is good for dogs with oily fur such as poodles and Cockers but when washing a puppy i suggest to use a tear-free shampoo and avoid contact with the eyes. a warm wash cloth will probably do the trick.
