That depends on what you mean by five weeks. Five weeks past your last period can still show up negative, as there is not always sufficient Hcg levels in your urine to produce a positive result. The best suggestion I can offer is to wait another week, and if you still haven't had a period, then test again.

If you mean five weeks past ovulation, then a home pregnancy test should be very accurate, and you are probably not pregnant this time.

Hi, Yes you can still be pregnant. Some times, not enough HCG is in your urine and because of this you cant get a positive on a pregnancy test till your 2months along. The only way to be sure though is by seeing your doctor for a blood test. But not all missed periods is pregnancy related. Missed periods can be caused by: * Pregnancy. * Birth Control. * Not ovulating. * Hormonal imbalance. * Irregular period. * Illness. * Stress.

From what I know yes you can. I was about three months a long until I got a positive result. They told me that some times the beta reading is to low for the doctors to tell if you are or not. If this happens the best thing to do is make an appointment with you doctor and see if they can give you Provera. After taking the medication ans still nothing then I guess you should request an ultrasound to see if you are pregnet. Thank is me best advice to you.

Yes, it is always possible that laboratory tests have false or misread results. If a test comes back with results that seem to oppose that other tests have said, it is a good idea to run a second set to verify their accuracy.

If home pregnancy test negative can you still be pregnant and get your period?

No you can't be pregnant and still have your period. You can have a light bleed but not a period. As for the whole negative test thing, it could be a false negative.
