You could certainly be a detective who has a juris doctorate, but the ability to be a commissioned detective while also being a practicing lawyer is next to impossible. Detectives and lawyers have difficult enough jobs on their own; much less someone attempting to work both.
I'm not aware of laws against this, but it's next to impossible and may cause conflict of interests in the future (for both jobs).
You certainly could not be a lawyer for anyone you've ever arrested, which would limit your client base.
