I have looked into this and have found no boating laws stating that you can not drink or be in possesion of alcoholic beverages. Only that you may not operate a boat and or motorized water craft with a bac level of .08 or higher.

It has no Official drink but if it did it would surely be Tennessee Sipping Whiskey.Somebody in the Tennessee State Legislature suggested Milk in 2009. It's now Novembr 2010 and there is still no state drink. Most people wanted it to be Jack Daniels. But prime clear corn liquor will always be the drink of choice in East Tennessee.
Not only is it legal for passengers on a boat to drink as much as they want, it is legal for the driver of the boat to drink as well. Yes, drunk driving laws do apply however, you can drink and drive a boat, there is no law against that......you just cannot be above the legal limit.
