If you are taking the Microgynon pill as you should, every day for 21 days and then having a 7 day break during which you will have a bleed [not strictly a 'period, just a withdrawal bleed] then it is very unlikely that you could be pregnant, as the pill will be working at full effectiveness [one of the most effective contraceptives apart from sterilisation].

Alcohol does not affect the contraceptive effect of Microgynon 30, and it is unlikely that morning sickness would occur so soon into a pregnancy as 4 weeks. The combined oral contraceptive pill can cause nausea (sickness), and this can also affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive hormones, so ensure that you use a second form of contraception for 7 days until after you have recovered from your stomach upset- if you have vomited within 4 hours of taking your last pill it will not have been absorbed into your bloodstream and therefore you will not be protected from pregnancy.
