There are a number of different jobs to work at on a construction site. You may have to be 18, or 21 depending on each individual job. It may help to call the workplace you are interested in and ask them.

∙ 17y agoHi there, For the most part depending on where you are located the average age of a general laborer in about 16yrs old. That is the basic age for a person to begin in this field unless they have the ability and the opportunity to start with a family member, i.e. your father or uncle, etc. Now most construction companies or contractors will most likely be looking for someone that would be very driven and can handle quite a bit of physical labor thus being the age of 16yrs old or older. Just some general imput for ya. JT
