If I understand your question correctly, the food is for the bereaved family, not for the dead Jehovah's witness.
Yes, you can do such kind gesture. :)
I don’t know
At a cemetery, where most dead people are buried.
Not that I am aware of. Jehovah's Witnesses do not engage in ritualistic practices involved with visiting the dead corpse in some countries such as in Africa, where their might be spiritistic practices associated with visiting the dead corpse. See Revelation 21:8. Other than that, Jehovah's Witnesses, have no barriers with funerals. When the funeral might be in a church, it is up the individual conscience of each Witness whether or not he will attend the funeral there.
Yes, it is open to anyone. The memorial is to give some comfot to the family and friends who lost their loved ones. They examine some hope for the dead using the scriptures.
No. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Christ is very much alive - - in Heaven; that he is the appointed King of God's Kingdom. He is a 'living' King, not a 'dead' King. Soon his Kingdom will come, and God's will, will be done on EARTH, as it is in heaven. There will be peace on earth. These are things a dead Jesus could not accomplish.
No, the singer Selena did not refuse blood. She was pronounced dead on her arrival at the hospital. She was a Jehovah Witness and they do not believe in blood transfusions.
It would be impossible to say. Some returned to the Jehovah's Witness organisation others did not. Presumably some from the 60s are now dead.
Assuming you mean a dead body, I don't know of any sanction to say it cannot but I have never seen it myself.
No, I'm one & at all the funerals I've been to the deceased are always fully dressed. In fact, I've never even heard of this.
From what I know of Serena Williams is that she was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. But the Bible clearly states that every person must decide for themselves if they will follow gods laws( Romans 14:12). People who claim to be a true christian but then do not follow Gods principles obviously cannot be judged righteous. James 2:24,26 says: "you see that a man is to be declared righteous by works, and not by faith alone... Indeed, as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead." Jehovah's Witnesses strive to follow Gods laws to the best of their abilities. One that does not follow Jehovah God's Laws cannot rightfully be a Jehovah's Witness. Serena Williams was never baptised as an official member of the Jehovah's Witnesses church and is not presently a practising Jehovah's Witness.
No, only his sister Rebbie was (and still remains faithful) He was raised in a JW household but never baptised. Even though he once said that he enjoyed the door to door work, chances are he never did it, as the brothers wouldn't have let him after the Thriller video.
There is no formal religious ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of dead loved ones. Jehovah's Witnesses families will therefore remember their dead as they personally see fit. Funerals are usually simple affairs followed by a gathering of friends and family to comfort the family of the deceased. Local customs are usually observed unless they conflict with bible principles.
As an ordained minister (or a new publisher), we are expected to do the ff: 1. Love, honor, respect and worship the only true God, Jehovah. 2. Follow the examples set by Jesus to preach the good news of the kingdom to all people in all possible circumstances. 3. Follow and apply the teachings and principles written in the Bible on how we should treat others and our family. 4. Attend the meetings regularly. 5. Attend the memorial and tell others about this very important annual event. 6. Look after the spiritual needs of our family and our Bible Students. All others are a matter of conscience guided by our knowledge and understandings about the Bible.
