No, original Xbox controllers do not work with the Xbox 360, so any games you download from Xbox Live Marketplace will use the Xbox 360 controller.
Xbox: November 15th, 2001 Computer: August 1st, 2003 Xbox 360(You have to download it from Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 Microsoft points): December 4th, 2007
The first halo does not have xbox live. Only system link.
Halo Waypoint is free to download off of the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Yes here's how to play both of them: Halo Combat Evolved(Halo 1): You have to have Xbox Live for this. You have to download it from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 Microsoft points. Halo 2: Okay this one is confusing for me. You can try these 3 suggestions I give you if you like though(got clues from looking up how to play Halo 2 on the 360): Suggestion 1. You have to get a patch for your normal Halo 2 game Suggestion 2. It's forwards-compatible(don't know what that means I'm only 13, sorry) Suggestion 3(decided myself). 2 could be same as 1 but I'm not sure because no websites I looked at didn't have the same answer as 1. You can look and see if it's available like 1 is if you like!
bungie does not host the file. bungie quit halo you have to get it form the live marketplace
If you got the halo combat envolved for the PC yes but for the regular xbox no.But if you mean for the xbox 360 you need an hardrive. And if you mean xbox live i think you cant play halo1 on xbox live.
no not yet buti wish it was
No, you do not need Xbox LIVE to play any original Xbox games. Not all original Xbox games can be played, but Halo and Halo 2 do not need LIVE to be played on the Xbox 360. I just now tried it with my LIVE unplugged and signed in to an offline account and it let me play both of them. The previous answer was a lie, obviously.
Download it FREE from the XBOX LIVE Marketplace.
