yes you can i got one off eBay it was the prs 500 but i had to pay 38 pound vat and handeling charge. you can not buy the books off the connect book store you have to live in America or caneda to do that .sony are about to bring the sony ereader to this country in September and you can pre order it from waterstones and sony UK web site and you will be able to buy the ebooks from waterstones in the aurtum make sure that the ebooks are the ones for the sont prs 505 as it is the new reader as the books for the prs 500 will not work on the new reader you can also buy the new ebooks from book on board on the internet.
