If you want to use streamlined darts, go for the recon. It's $20, can be customized with parts from every other cs (clip system) gun and most mission kits, and shoots with fairly decent range
For micro darts (the ones with suction cups on them) get a maverick. It's only $10, has a 6-dart rotating barrel, and is a classic piece of any Nerf arsenal.

∙ 8y agoThere are many Nerf blasters for under $25 that could be considered the best of the category. Some would say the Hammershot (~$15) is the best due to its range, accuracy, compact size and ability to be fired with one hand, and dual-wielding them not only looks cool but provides a solid combo for around $30. Alternatively, the Stockade (~$20) is a reliable automatic blaster with decent range and great accuracy and rate of fire. The Stryfe (~$20) would probably be my choice for best blaster under $25. It's fast, accurate, extremely compact, has good range, and is fed by dart magazines, making loading fast and letting you use 18-dart or even 35-dart magazines. And like the Hammershot, they can be wielded single-handed, meaning it is possible to dual-wield them and drown your opponent in 70 darts without having to reload (for a much cheaper price than, say, the Rhino Fire).

This is only my advice, but you should buy the Nerf Firefly because the Nerf Magstrike has one clip, and goes really easily, and also needs pump action, but the Firefly has a round barrel at the front of the gun which you manually load and does not run out so quickly. Also, the Firefly comes with the awesome glow in the dark darts!
Does Toys R Us carry Nerf guns?
Actually Yes. they sometimes do sell Nerf products.. over the time of the last month weeks before black Friday you could find the Nerf stampede being sold online on their website. My brother living in Hawaii has told me they have Stampedes in the Costco where hes at. Anyone living in there might want to check it out he told me they're selling them $35. As far as now, Costco.com has taken down their ad for the stampede, but as wholesale clubs? You can find Sam's Club selling the Raider on their site for $20-something. Hope that helps.
