It comes with batteries (you knew that) but I don't think you can change them. Usually a battery recharger comes with the ds but if you bought it used that may not be the case. See if you can find it and gaming stores or maybe Radio Shack?

∙ 12y agoYes. The 3DS has a rechargeable battery that will last between 3-8 hours depending on what games are being played, wireless communication and brightness settings. The system can either be charged via a DSi/DSi XL/3DS charging cable or with the included cradle.
