Some cars don't require that metal pipe but if you think you need it, you may be able to find one at a junk yard if not, try the auto parts store.
In a metal housing where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine.
THERE IS NO HOSE, THE WATER PUMP IS FED BY A METAL COOLANT PIPE LOCATED UNDERNEATH THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. THE LOWER RADIATOR HOSE CONNECTS TO THE PIPE.
On the 4.0 liter OHV - V6 engine : The top radiator hose connects to the metal pipe which is part of the engine thermostat housing and the bottom radiator hose connects to the water pump
Follow the top radiator hose from the radiator , it connects to a metal pipe which connects to the thermostat housing that is bolted to the front of the engine . The thermostat is inside the thermostat housing

Follow your top radiator hose from the radiator, if it's like my 4.0 L OHV it connects to a metal pipe, which then connects to the engine. The thermostat is inside the housing that is bolted to the engine.
The thermostat should be located in a metal tube that runs behind the cylinder block. Follow the bottom radiator hose to the metal tube. It should be near the distributor, but lower and in the back more, but just follow the radiator tube and you'll find it. Drain your coolant and take off your radiator tube. Where the radiator tube connects to, look at it, it should have three to two small 10mm bolt that holds it on the metal tube. Take that it off and the thermostat should be in there.

On the 2.2 engine it is located on the lower raditar hose water pump side. just follow the lower radiator hose to where it connects to the motor, the metal tube it connects to has either 2 or 3 bolts holding it to the motor, simply remove these bolts, remove the housing that the hose hooks to, and the thermostat is right inside there.
Follow the top radiator hose from the radiator , it connects to a metal pipe , the other end of the metal pipe is attached to the thermostat housing that is bolted to the front of the engine . The thermostat is inside the thermostat housing
it is at the end of the upper radiator hose inside the metal house the hose connects to
There is a brown sensor that screws into a metal pipe on the right hand side of engine bay just behind the radiator, there is a black hose from the radiator that connects to the metal pipe then you will see the sesor screwed in.
