Charles Dickens is a significant English historical character and, along with many others, has a right to a place on the nations currency.
The Governor of the Bank of England has the final say as to who is used.
And finally, you might be hard pressed to find Charles Dickens on a Five Pound, the Bank of England say they put him on the Series E Ten Pound note.
