I suppose you can considering that I am currently doing. My Doctor would not have subcribed both if it was dangerous. Its probably because seroquel is an anti-psychotic and celexa is an anti-depressant, they treat two different problems.

∙ 11y agoNo. Celexa is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. (SSRI) It is used to treat depression and/or anxiety. Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic used for management of manic symptoms in Bipolar disorder, and is used in the treatment of schizophrenia as well. It has sedative properties although the exact mechanism of action is unknow.

well if it helps my phdoc has me on 40 ml celexa and 50ml of seroquel. seems to be a good combination for me i feel okay through the day and sleep well at night. i take celexa in the morning and seroquel at bedtime.

Celexa is aused with many people with PTSD, used to help with anxiety and depression, and if your doctor feels the need to not give you ambien for whatever reason, he might proscribe trazadone or seroquel for sleep. That's what i got it for :) although i find celexa doesnt really work for me

Hi. I have Bipolar 1 and currently take 50 mg Seroquel and 200 mg Lamictal. I was just put on 10mg Celexa to help with unexpected depression. And I take Ativan sparingly if I feel anxious. They can be taken together, but I do not know about dosage. I think it's best if you check with your doctor. Good luck!
