Can you carry a concealed gun in your car with a concealled permit in Florida?

Well, yes! Check the laws by going on the web and look at gun carry statutes for Florida. I have a non res from Florida and a resident license from Texas. Licenses are drastically different though. In Texas, it is a LTC. License to carry, concealed or open. Hand guns only. In Texas, you do not need to be licensed to carry a rifle in a ar. Florida is a concealed weapons licence. This means any legal weapon you can carry is ok. You can carry knifes, dirks, collaspable batons, num chucks and just about anything you can think of.

You are traveling to Sacramento by plane if Im a cop can you carry your concealed weapon?

This is a question which needs to be directed to the TSA. As you are traveling to California, if you are not a California resident, you'd be best advised also to contact the California Department of Justice regarding your abilities to carry a concealed firearm there. They may not recognized your position as an out-of-state police officer as justification to carry a concealed firearm, or may require you to obtain a non-resident permit to carry a concealed firearm in the state. Before you depart, you can contact the local TSA representative either by going to the airport in person, or by phone. I would advise you to do this well in advance of your flight, as it is not likely to be a particular fast process.

It depends on the state. For instance, Tennessee issues a "handgun carry permit" which covers only handguns and nothing else. Florida issues a "Concealed Weapons Permit" which covers any non-prohibited weapon.

How do you obtain a license for a handgun non-concealed?

Some states are open carry states. Some states issue a "carry permit" which applies both to open and concealed carry. Some states don't allow it. You need to specify your state in order for this question to be answered, as there isn't one universal answer which is applicable to all states.
