i'm doing this right now. i have aluminum gutters and i just put in the 1st vinyl downspout. since the hole from the old downspout was 3 inch i had to cut the hole larger for the new 4 inch downspout. it worked!! looks good. attached to my screen room. seal with gutter sealer and use the self drill screws so it won't come apart. good luck.
Vinyl gutters come in pieces making installation for the do-it-yourself person much easier. The climate you live in should be a consideration. Vinyl may bend, crack, or discolor in extreme weather conditions, but are generally inexpensive and maintenance free.
The maintenance of aluminum windows is better than with vinyl. Aluminum windows are also better at reducing noises. Their strength is better than vinyl. There are a lot of pluses to vinyl windows as well such as cost, and the fact that they are environmentally friendly.

So the rain water doesn't run off in large amounts onto people below. The reason to have rain gutters is to take water away from the foundation of the house. If water pools at the foundation or if the torrent of rain falls down and then enters below or at the foundation it may cause settling cracks. If you have ever noticed a house without gutters you will find that a line is formed that erodes soil and creates a place for water to pool or enter the foundation or slab. Recently other products have come on the market that are not gutters but a series of small metal ribs that cause the rain to disburse more rapidly ie "Rainhandlers" etc.

Cleaning a vinyl fence is simple, as with the texture of the material, stains don't tend to stick. Here are simple tips for cleaning your vinyl fence: 1. Wash it using the spray from a garden hose, which should loosen and remove dust and mud. 2. Use a wet rag to wipe off marks that didn't get washed out. 3. For more stubborn stains adding a very small amount of bleach to the water should help. Note: avoid using a metal scraper as that may damage the fence. Hope this helps!
