i think it is not possible... because only through hot side the power of the gas will high that it can rotate the turbine... so generator can be connected only in hot side...

What is cold rolling of steam turbine?

When Turbine shaft temp is below 100 deg.centigrade,Then rolling of turbine carried out it is called cold rolling.

How do people GET coal?

They mine down to get coal. After it's out of the ground, it goes onto a conveyor belt which carries the coal to the power plant. Then it gets cleaned and after that it gets burned. After it gets burned they put it into the water. The water makes the steam (because the coal is hot and water is cold) and the steam turns the turbine. The turbine turns the generator and the generator makes the electricity. Then it's carried to the government with transmission lines.

How do fossil fuel burning plants work?

Simple breakdown of how Gas station works.Water is taken from a local river, this is then cleaned up, and given a neutral PH level. The gas is burned in what is known as a boiler. There are many tubes within the boiler which all carry the water. The water is heated to such an extent that it turns to steam, and we use this steam to turn what is known as a Turbine. The turbine on a Gas station would be a GT or Gas Turbine. This turbine is attached to what is Known as an AC generator. Similar to a car Alternator, but much larger. A generator turns Mechanical movement into Electricity through Electromagnets. This electricity is then put through a transformer which would step it up to around 132Kv, where it would then be fed to a consumer.WATER BOILER STEAM TURBINE GENERATOR ELECTRICTY

What is cold rolling wider?

What is warm rolling of steam turbine?

You don't start a large turbine cold. Typically, the lubrication system is started, the turning gear is engaged and warming steam (a small amount of steam, not enough to turn the turbine) is admitted to the turbine to warm and initially expand the shaft and casing. If this isn't done, thermal shock from the admission of high pressure superheated steam into the cold turbine could damage it.

What do nuclear reactors make?

They Heat Up And Basically Create Heat. In the creation of neculear energy cold water is put into the reactors chamber and it heatsd up due to the neclear reactor which creates steam that turns a turbine that passes through a generator creating electricity. Joshua, Aged 10

Where is HDR geothermal energy comes from?

Cold water is injected into fractured rock and is heated up as it is passed through the hot fractured rock. The hot water put through a heat exchanger. The geothermal heat causes the secondary fluid to flash to vapor which then turns a turbine and generator to produce electricity.

What is the Difference between a turbine blade and a compressor blade?

A turbine is a machine that has a rotor of some sort that spins as a reaction to the flow of a fluid of some kind. A generator can be one of may things, but we often associate that term to a piece of equipment that converts mechanical energy into electromagnetic energy, or electricity. That said, the turbine could be connected to the generator to produce electricity from mechanical energy. The turbine is all about mechanical energy, and the generator converts mechanical energy into electric energy.
