Theoretically, yes.
However it doesn't get hot enough to cook the egg.
Use a magnifying glass. :D A more practical method would be to use the sun's rays to heat up a flat surface, say a stone slab, until it is hot enough before dumping the egg on it. However, this only works in a hot environment. Without any clouds. Preferably.
Captain Cook was using a telescope to observe the transit of Venus across the path of the Sun. This event occurs when Venus passes directly between Earth and the Sun, appearing as a small dot moving across the Sun's surface. It is an important event in astronomy for determining the scale of the solar system.
You take 1 litre of water and place it in the sun.. If it does not start boiling, you are better off just doing it the regular way and giving a crap about the eco-system!
I saw 8 kids make eggs on Bill Nye using sun from Arizona.
Even a very "hot" sun would only "cook a person dead." . . . because s/he would die from overexposure (radiation damage, dehydration, and heat stroke) well before "cooked" to any degree of doneness.
Yes.
Yes. But it takes awhile
To heat food by only using power from the energy of the sun
Normally not, but if you somehow concentrate the heat, it's possible. A magnifying glass will concentrate the light producing heat.
they throw their food in the water and use the sun to cook it to medium rare :)
you plus the sausages would be fried to death million of miles before you got to the sun
The sun would win.
